SUPPORTING IRISH WOMEN SINCE 2017

When facing cancer, the body undergoes treatment — but the mind and heart face their own journey too. One of the simplest yet most powerful tools for emotional well-being is journalling during cancer treatment.
Why journalling helps:
It gives a safe space to express fears, hopes, anger or sadness
It helps track physical symptoms and emotional shifts
It can ease anxiety by bringing order to overwhelming feelings
It creates a record of resilience and progress to look back on later
It supports mental clarity during a time when everything feels uncertain
In 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Journalling through those months was one of the best self-care practices I embraced. On the hardest days, writing gave me an outlet when speaking felt too difficult. On the brighter days, it helped me record hope and gratitude.
A small comfort with big impact:
That’s why we include a beautiful soft-cover cancer journalas part of our Serious Illness range. Even just jotting down a few lines a day can create space for healing — mentally and emotionally.
For anyone navigating a serious illness, or supporting a loved one who is, a journal offers a private place to be fully honest with the experience — and that can be incredibly empowering.
