Packing for Baby Too? Here’s What to Include in Their Hospital Bag

You’ve got your own hospital bag nearly sorted—but what about baby’s?

It can be easy to forget that your hospital bag actually needs to cover two people…you and your newborn. In fact, a lot of mums-to-be split their and baby’s items across two separate holdalls, which makes finding items when in hospital a lot easier! Here’s what to think about when packing for baby.

Baby Hospital Bag Essentials

Your baby’s hospital bag should include:

• Clothing - most hospital bag checklists recommend 6-8 sets of vests and babygros in either size newborn or 0-3 months. Ideally get babygros with built in scratch mitts but if they don’t have these, just remember to pop in a couple of sets of scratch kits. 
• Nappies and wipes - water wipes are the gentlest on baby’s skin (and handy too!) but many mums like cotton wool and warm water. 
• A blanket, hat and cardigan
• Feeding and changing essentials such as soft, hooded baby towel, sponge/washcloth, changing mat etc
