🖤 YOUR HOSPITAL BAG MADE EASY 🖤

It’s tempting to throw everything into your maternity hospital bag—just in case. But here’s the truth: you don’t need to bring the kitchen sink.
In fact, overpacking can lead to stress, clutter and lost essentials. Here’s why it’s better to pack light (but smart)—and how to do just that.
WHY OVERPACKING DOESN’T HELP
TIPS FOR PACKING SMART
1. Stick to the essentials
Use a hospital bag checklist designed for Irish hospitals. Not sure where to start?Download ours here or check out our pre-packed options.
2. Pack using pods or pouches
Organise items by category (e.g., baby clothes, mum’s toiletries, snacks) so they’re easy to grab. Our Ulluv NestPod hospital bag packing pods are perfect for this!
3. Consider using a holdall (or two) rather than a suitcase
Weekend-style bags are easier to stash and access in tight spaces.
4. Pack for labour and post-birth separately
Keep your labour bag light and leave your postnatal bag in the car—your partner can bring it in after baby arrives.
5. Don’t forget home comforts
Just one or two little luxuries—a soft blanket, your own water bottle, or lip balm or even your own pillow can make a big difference.
TAKE THE STRESS OUT OF IT
At Ulluv, we’ve helped hundreds of mums across Ireland pack with confidence using our pre-packed hospital bags, contents bundles, packing pods and much much more. Whether you DIY or buy ready-packed, we make sure you feel prepared—but not overloaded. Check out our full maternity & baby range here.
