7 Small Comforts That Make a Big Difference in Labour

Here are 7 items we’ve seen countless women thank themselves for having in their hospital bag.

1. Lip Balm

Hospitals are warm, and labour breathing dries out your lips fast. Trust us, a small tube or pot of lip balm will feel like a lifesaver.

2. Hair Ties or a Headband

Keep hair off your face when things get intense. A soft headband or scrunchie can be more comfortable than clips.

3. Face Mist, Cooling Spray or a Cooling Towel

Soothing and refreshing in between contractions. If using  spray, choose a light lavender or rose scent for extra calm.

4. Snacks for Labour (If Allowed)

Energy is everything. Check with your hospital, but pack light snacks like oat bars or glucose sweets just in case.

5. Your Own Pillow

The hospital has pillows, but they’re not always the coziest. Having your own can help you rest between stages.

6. Soft Socks or Slippers

Cold floors + warm hormones = icy toes. A pair of grippy socks or foldable slippers keeps you grounded and comfortable.

7. A Touch of Home

A printed photo, calming playlist, or your partner’s hoodie—anything that helps you feel like you!

Ulluv Tip: We’ve lovingly included many of these little comforts (and more!) in our full product range so be sure to check it out.
