Our story

I am Siobhan, a Cork woman in exile in Kerry, who has always had a dream to run a business that makes life easier for people! Originally a financial services professional - who, truthfully, has always been more passionate about handbags, shoes and interior design - I took the plunge in May 2017 to set up Ulluv. With 3 children under 5 years of age at the time, I think many people (my husband included!) were scratching their heads at my decision. 

In fact, ever since being pregnant on my second child, I was more aware of the need to make life easier for busy expectant mums, as it can be a very overwhelming time. For me personally, I remember the hassle and stress of getting my hospital bag ready for baby number 2, while working full time, with a one-year old at home. It felt like an impossible task.

Ulluv, which means "ready" or "prepared" in Irish, was initially aimed at expectant mums, by providing hospital bag solutions - both physical bags and their contents. However, Ulluv has taken its lead from our customers and followers and now provides solutions to meet not just the needs of expectant mums but also the needs of busy mums and non-mums as well as those who have had a recent serious illness diagnosis. 

For me, there are three key factors that I strive to ensure remain at the highest level at all times within our growing business. These are quality, value and customer experience. With each product individually hand-picked by me, and often road tested before being made available for sale, I will only choose quality products that I know my customers will love as much as I do!

Now, with the addition of 2 amazing mums on board to help with the day-to-day running of Ulluv, we are a tight knit group of 3 who understands more than anyone the importance of making the customer experience a special one for everyone who interacts with us, to whatever degree.
