Disposable knickers - hospital bag checklist essential?

I've had a few inquiries as to whether disposable knickers will be included as part of the hospital bag checklist essentials packs. The answer is no (for the moment!) and let me explain why.

I know that they're on most hospital bag checklists but I have to wonder how many of the people who wrote those checklists had ever actually tried them on 😂!

I'll be honest, I enthusiastically bought them first time around (I enthusiastically bought EVERYTHING first time around!) and tried them on at home but they were uncomfortable, cut into my skin (even though they were humongous!) and just felt funny.

On a friend's advice, I went to Penneys and just bought a load of cheap, dark, comfortable knickers that did the job. (The idea was to throw them out afterwards but please don't judge me if I tell you I'm pretty certain some of them still feature in my underwear drawer 🙊!!)

I'm reluctant to include anything in the hospital bag checklist packs that I'm not happy with myself. However...I am very happy to change my mind on this if anyone has any experience of a comfortable version of these disposables 😬!
